Expectations of Online Dating - Things to Consider

By L Ruppert You have no doubt heard about online dating, regardless of whether you have tried it or not. The reason for this is because online dating is really becoming popular and everyone is trying it; even those individuals who turned their noses up at it for so long. And while there are many advantages to online dating, such as finding a date for the weekend or even the love of your life, there are some things you should really keep in mind to make the process as easy as possible on you. Consider the following points before you begin your online dating venture to possibly avoid some difficult situations in the future. Tip #1 Location
Yes, your soul mate could be anywhere in the entire world, but does that mean he/she is online? Maybe, maybe not. However, what you really need to consider before beginning your online dating process is how far you are willing to travel to meet your online date. At first you might respond to all types of individuals from far off places thinking it innocent, yet a relationship evolves and you find yourself racking up credit card debt traveling to far off states or even countries to meet "the one." This is fine and dandy if you are able to afford it, however many individual embark on online dating only to all in love with someone far away, begin traveling, and then have the relationship fall apart and just a lot of debt to remind them of it. This tip is not telling you to avoid men or women that are not local because that is one of the main benefits of online dating. It is telling you however to be sure you know your capabilities and limitations and set some rules for yourself before you begin online dating. You might simply want to search for dates within driving distance, or you might like the idea of a far away love. It is up to you, but it is worthwhile to consider the distance and what might happen if you fall in love. Are you prepared to move? Is he/she? These things should be discussed early to avoid heartbreak later on. Tip #2 Photos
You want to look your best in your online profile so you might be tempted to have professional photos taken after you have had your hair styled and your makeup applied by a makeup artist. Or, if you are a man, you might consider a photo that is 5-10 years old. While you will certainly look great in these photos it is taking a risk with potential dates. You might think if you can reel them in with your appearance then when they meet you your personality will make up for the difference in the photos and the real you. This is a huge risk and you will really be doing yourself a favor if you take a photo of the every day you and post it on your profile. The reason for this is potential dates want to know what you really look like, today, not be impressed with an old photo or one that does not really represent you. Consider this long and hard because if you get replies under false pretenses and head out on a date it is likely the date will resent the fudge, consider you dishonest, and never contact you again. It is a risk and should be weighed accordingly. Tip #3 Giving Out Your Address
The world is not full of mean spirited people, but it does have a small percentage of the population that fits in this category. So, when you are carrying on an online relationship with someone make sure that you have built a level of confidence with them that is longer than a couple of weeks before you give out your home address. Really, the best thing to do is to meet any online acquaintances at different destinations until you feel comfortable enough with them to share your home address. This might seem a bit overprotective, but it is really the best policy. Also, if you don't like a date or it goes bad you don't have to worry about the date coming by and trying to persuade you to go out again in person. This is up to every person, but it is really a great idea to wait a while before exchanging addresses. Tip #4 Dating Many at Once
Obviously if you have been without a date for a while and all of a sudden multiple men or women are writing to you are going to feel flattered and interested in getting to know all of them. While you might be able to handle one or two, maybe even three people, you will really want to avoid going over that number because you will confuse yourself, the characteristics and maybe even names of the individuals, and possibly lose the interest of all of them. Try chatting with one individual at a time. You can of course respond to others on a weekly basis just asking more about them as you are finding out whether you want to continue with one individual or not. Once you know an individual is not what you are looking for simply let them know you are not interested and move on to another. You will reduce embarrassing situations for yourself and be better able to determine what individual best matches your personality and characteristics. Online dating is really helping singles find dates and even spouses, not to mention many people are meeting new friends worldwide. And although there are more benefits than negatives you should really consider the following points before you ever begin your online dating so that you will know where you stand and what your personal rules are about online dating and who you are looking for before you get tangled up in a situation that could really be disastrous. Top Five Reasons to Clear Your Space

By Nancy Boyd Is it bad enough yet??? There are times when its and Im not talking about the clutter. I mean the energy. Here are the top five ways you will know its time to take action. 1) The odors are getting to you. If there are bad smells, then the energy behind the odor needs clearing too. (Think smelly shoes. Cat litter boxes. Stale cigarette or cigar smoke.) Bad odors are produced when something begins to decay; and decay is not a life-force enhancing energy. Turn it around, and get the life force moving freely in your space. 2) Something bad has happened in the space. An argument. A physical fight. Illness. Some tragic event. Powerful feelings release powerful energy fields some of which can linger for a long time unless they are cleared. With any of the above, you need to clear the energy of whatever happened previously in the space. 3) You find yourself getting upset or angry a lot. Its quite likely that there is some energy in your space that is helping to disturb your peace of mind. You may not know what it is (and you dont really need to know) you just need to change the energy so that you are not continually stimulated in negative ways. 4) You cant seem to relax, or go to sleep, even when you intend to. The energy in your space may be keeping you from being as relaxed as you want to be. Some energy, even if it isnt negative, can be too stimulating to promote relaxation. For instance, if youve been playing hard rock music all day and then you want to go to sleep in that space, you may find that the energy from the music has created an unexpected energy 5) You dont feel peaceful or calm in your space. This is the time to clear any energies and start fresh, to return the energy field to neutral so that you can enjoy your activities. Anything that prevents you from feeling very peaceful, is not promoting optimum life force, health, balance, or peace. Change it. Finally, whenever your space just doesnt feel right trust your gut and clear the space, using some sage or cedar, incense, or Blue Eagle Invocation Liquid Smudge. The worst that can happen is the small amount of time it takes, and the best that can happen is that you can completely enjoy being in your space again. 2007 Nancy Boyd Learn more here too For more information about the Blue Eagle Invocation product, and to get a free report about how to clear your space, visit our web site at Get more information here Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Nancy_Boyd http://EzineArticles.com/?Top-Five-Reasons-to-Clear-Your-Space&id=465947 how to look better on loan papers with bad credit

Easy Way to Fight Depression

By Milos Pesic If you have depression, it affects everything, from the way you eat and sleep, the way you feel about yourself, and the way you think about things. Practically, you draw back from your old routine. During the period of depression, people with this condition tend to have a hard time going about their lives purposely and sensibly. Even the tiniest things seem to be beyond your control and therefore get set aside. If this happens to you, you are actually moving away from normal life. By restoring your routine, it can somehow help get back on the right track and lead you to your normal life, which is in some way fighting depression. The most devastating effect of depression is a feeling of losing control of our lives. Dont you agree with me? You begin to feel that everything is happening irrationally, which is not the result of your choice or something that you could have made yourself. To be able to regain control, which actually fighting depression, try to re-establish your routines. Maybe both your eye brows are on the highest level they can ever get - wanting to shout: thats easy for you to say! But, as the old saying goes, no pain, no gain, which means that if you want to be in control of your life over again, you should start doing some restoring some of you usual routine no matter hard it can be. Who says fighting depression is a piece-of-cake? But then again, if you dont do anything to get on your feet and start fighting, youll get worse and worse. Other people and doctors cant help you get better if you, yourself dont even have the guts to do it. With that in mind, one way and much easier way to start your fight in regaining control over your life is to write a list of your everyday activities that you may no longer or avoided to participate in. The following is some of the helpful tips that you might need in your quest for taking control over your life. With confidence when confronted with people, make sure you have maintained proper hygiene and keep well-groomed, which include keeping yourself presentable and pleasant. These things are important if you want other people to socialize with you as much as you want to them. Go out as much as you can as it helps you adjust more quickly. Staying healthy is one thing in fighting depression since loss of appetite is one of the issues with depression. Keeping in touch with your family and friends greatly help avert your attention away from your condition, especially if you feel their love and care for you. You might pull out some strength from them. Engage yourself in some house chores to improve your environment, which affects your healing process and is also a level form of exercise. Dont keep idle time! Because if you do youll get bored, and when you get bored, youll go back feeling depress again. The purpose of fighting depression with which you may have started with great efforts will be defeated. Did you get everything? If not, start reading from the top until the words register in your mind. And get your sorry butt up and get going. Theres more to life to celebrate the mope around! The Top 10 Ways to Reduce Expenses When You're Between a Rock and a Hard Spot

By Pam Woods If you're in a career transition with limited financial reserves or up to your neck in alligators from overspending, run to, not from the problem. The longer you carry this issue around the heavier it will get. Choose to implement all of the action items below to immediately reduce your spending. Better yet, make it a game to see how low you can get your expenses...you just might find that less is more. 1. Phones Eliminate your cell phone and shop around for a long distance carrier with a low rate per minute and no monthly fee. 2. Subscriptions Cancel newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals. Everything you need is free at the library, accessible via the internet, or on television. 3. Utilities Turn down the thermostat, use energy efficient lamps in fixtures, turn off the lights when you leave a room, ask your local utility companies about budget billing, and review the many other energy and money saving tips listed at the U.S. Department of Energy's website which can be found at www.eere.energy.gov/consumerinfo/energy_savers. 4. Taxes If you're employed, ask if your employer offers a Section 125 Plan or Flexible Spending Program. If so, enroll in the plan as soon as possible to pay your health premium, health expenses and dependent care expenses (if applicable) with pre-tax dollars. 5. Medical Purchase generic prescriptions when possible and obtain the best price by calling and comparing prices at local pharmacies, increase your medical coverage deductible, and read and understand your medical plan to be a smart consumer of health care services and save dollars. 6. Stuff in your home Clean up, organize, and simplify your home environment. Hold a garage sale and fill it with the things you don't use, don't have room to display, or can't access easily. You might also consider selling items on eBay. Another option is donating your items to a charitable organization as your gift may be deductible. Your stuff is someone else's treasure. 7. Meals If you're working - take your lunch, shop at a discount grocery store and buy in bulk, cut out the junk food, avoid purchasing prepackaged meals, and avoid eating dinner out. Have you stopped to think that your daily latte may be costing you $600 per year? 8. Fitness Terminate your gym membership. Try walking, running, hiking, or biking. It's easier and more convenient to step through your front door and start exercising, plus the fresh air is invigorating. 9. Recreation and fun Stay home with a good book or rent a video or DVD instead of going to the movie theater. Pop your own popcorn, snuggle up in your favorite chair, and have a fun night at home. As painful as it might be, you could also drop your cable TV. 10. Lifestyle Money problems are seldom about money but rather emanate from your lifestyle choices. For example, I recently spoke with a small business owner who told me he was in financial trouble and was looking for ideas to save his business. He then mentioned that he was taking his family on vacation next month. He must have felt it necessary to justify his vacation plans because he proceeded to tell me he was taking the vacation in spite of his dire financial situation as it was important to create a positive memory and good time for his kids. I wonder how much he'll enjoy the vacation when his business is about to tank. If you're in financial trouble or see it looming on the horizon, please don't try to justify spending any more money, cut every expense today and when you're out of debt start saving and building at least a years worth of financial reserve. It can be done! Good luck. Pam N. Transitioning to a Different Job

By Michael Acosta The process of changing employers may be very difficult if one is not prepared. Though the process tends to happen less frequently as individuals progress down a given career path, it is important to have a set of standards for entering a new work environment. First and perhaps most importantly, is to be very out going. Smiles and manners go a long way in a first encounter with a new co-worker. Meeting new people is only a challenge when you appear uncomfortable. Move swiftly, lethargic non-responsive individuals appear lazy and unmotivated. The more you move the more energy you appear to have to others. Negative body language raises inherit social responses; most are negative when put in a work environment. If you have your office or work space, take the time to make as many trips around the office as you can, also try to talk to your new co-workers as much as you can. Lastly, avoid any conversation which contains gossip or negative subject matter. The "office paparazzi" can make a transition longer than it needs to be by tampering with the environment. New inhabitants may find murky waters when it is filled with gossip swill. Follow these simple rules and you will find your transitions fast and smooth. Remember you are the "new person," it is up to you! Michael Acosta

Types of Cosmetic Surgery

By Ricardo Silva Cosmetic surgery is a term thrown around with a lot of frequency. The term, however, is rather vague given the fact there are different types of cosmetic surgery. Here is a guide to the different types of cosmetic surgery. The world of cosmetic surgery is growing quickly each year. As time passes, more and more people are looking into the benefits of having cosmetic procedures performed on their bodies and more and more procedures are being developed to fit patients' needs. While medical science has not yet come up with surgeries that are able to provide solutions to all of the cosmetic problems people have, the many types of cosmetic surgery that are available today are attempting to correct most of the physical issues patients have. The types of cosmetic surgery that are available for patients right now can be loosely grouped into two types: those that add something to the body and those that take something away. Many people are unhappy with the size and shape of parts of their bodies, and they would like to either reduce the size of the body part or increase its size. Liposuction is perhaps the most popular of the procedures that are used to take away unwanted areas of the body. Liposuction involves making a small cut into an area of the body that has too much fat tissue (such as the hips or stomach), and then a cannula is inserted into the cut. The cannula is a small, flexible tube with which the surgeon can dislodge and vacuum out the unwanted fat cells. In this way, stubborn areas of fat that aren't responding to diet and exercise can be removed. Some of the most popular types of cosmetic surgery, however, involve adding volume to areas of the body. One of these is seen in collagen injections, which plump up the lips. But, the biggest of the addition surgeries is breast augmentation. With this surgery, implants (usually made of saline) are inserted into a woman's breasts in order to enlarge her cup size. These implants can be modest, and used to enhance breasts that may be undersized or sagging, or large these are usually given to women who are looking to make a big impact. While there are many more types of cosmetic surgery out there, the most popular across all age groups have to be liposuction and breast augmentation. While many people are tempted to jump into getting cosmetic surgery, it's very important to consult a board certified cosmetic surgeon to find out what is the best procedure for you. Never rush into any type of surgery or cosmetic procedure. Ricardo de Silva is with PlasticSurgeonPractices.com - a directory of cosmetic surgeons. God Helps Those Who Help Themselves

By Saleem Rana God Helps Those Who Help Themselves I dont know about you, but I often dont know whether I should act on something or just surrender it to God and let it show up in my life. Reviewing my experience with both these approaches, I find that both have worked and both have failed. Sometimes when I surrender, things do show up. Sometimes nothing happens until I act.
And sometimes I do the wrong things, too, and it still doesnt show up. Last Sunday, I got lost on my way to a new location. I decided to surrender. Intuitively, I knew when to turn left or right on each crossroad. Suddenly, remarkably, I found myself upon familiar ground and was able to complete my journey to my intended destination. Last night, for example, no amount of praying helped me ease my hacking cough. Since I had not been able to sleep for three days because of coughing every time I dozed off, I was in a highly agitated state. Finally, out of desperation, I jumped out of bed, wrapped myself up in multiple layers of clothes, stumbled out into the freezing night, climbed into my car and drove around until I could find a pharmacy that was open past midnight. I found one; purchased a coughing-sneezing-aching-let-you-sleep at night medication. For the first, in what seemed like a very long time, I slept very deeply and woke up completely refreshed. I know that these are small and perhaps trivial examples, but they do point to a much larger theme. God helps those who help themselves. Basically, you have to act in this world to get things done. Rarely do things just show up by themselves. This does happen, but not at a statistically significant level to count on it.
However, after you act, you have to let it go. You cant predict the outcome, and you definitely cant control it. Thus, I have come to the conclusion that our best recourse is to do what we can and then let go the results. Basically, we act and then we surrender. Here is a small fable to illustrate my point: In a time long ago, there was a clever merchant who bought some camels from a distant town and had to transport them to his home through the desert. On his first night in the desert with his new herd of camels, he did not know whether to take the time to tie them all up before he went to sleep that night in his tent. Should he just trust God and hope that he would be able to see them still flocked around in the morning? Should he make the effort of spending several hours tying up each camel to a stake in the ground? Mysteriously, a monk showed up. He was passing through and asked the merchant for some food and shelter. After dining the monk, the merchant asked him what to do about his camels. "Tie up the camels," said the sage, "and trust God to keep them there until morning." And here is a true story that illustrates it: I once worked with an MLM person. I joined his team when he was making direct sales and doing $10,000 a month. He was a wizard at the cold call. He could charm the fleas off a dog with his words. He was also highly religious. What he did was make the effort and surrender the result. Avalanches of abundance flowed to him. Then he became enamored with the surrender texts in his Bible and shirked the doing part. Within four months, everything that he had built up collapsed. In conclusion, God is the ultimate mystery. Sometimes our life lessons are to be proactive and change the world. Sometimes it is to be passive and let the invisible powers make all the necessary contacts and experiences. As human beings, we seldom recognize the lesson until later on. From our limited perspective, we dont know what things mean and what to do. Thus, I think action and surrender is the best way to play the game of life. Keywords: God, surrender Saleem Rana is a psychotherapist in Denver, Colorado. He has discovered something remarkable that can change anyone to be highly successful. Easy,Fun and Frugal Winter Crafts for Children

By Kim Monaco Winter is here! Dress warmly, bundle up, enjoy the snow. Build a snowman, shovel the driveway, have a snowball fight - spend time playing. When it's time to get warm - pull out supplies to have a snow crafty afternoon with the kids. Everyone will enjoy a snow-filled day of fun with four easy (and frugal) craft ideas for children.

Start off the snow craft party with some Snowman Soup. Make a package of Hot Chocolate mix (the Nestle kind is great!) according to the package directions, but make it in a soup bowl. Add two Hershey Kisses, three regular size marshmallows and stir it all together with a candy cane. Yummy treat and great way to warm up from that cold weather!
Finished with the Snowman Soup? How about creating a cute paper bag snowman for the next easy craft? Only a few supplies are required for the snowman - 2 white paper bags, newspaper or scrap paper, 18" string or yarn, construction paper to make Snowman accessories, and glue. Open one of the white paper bags and stuff it with crushed newspaper. Open the second paper bag and carefully pull it down over the newspaper-stuffed bag. Simply tie the yarn or string around the bags to make a separation for the head and the body of the snowman. Then comes the creative part - cut out eyes, nose, hat, buttons from construction paper and glue them onto the snowman. Let the child's creativity shine - there's no snowman rules. When finished, put the snowman on display in a window or on a table for a great wintery centerpiece. Another fun, easy and quick craft project involves paper doilies. Paper doilies are readily available at party stores and craft stores. To craft a doily snowman, the following items are needed: three white doilies (one small, one medium, one large), glue, 12" x 18" construction paper. Ask the child to build a snowman with the three circles, then glue the doilies onto the large piece of construction paper. Pull out some crayons, markers or construction paper to make snowman features - the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. Have fun and let the child's creativity shine. Again, there are no rules in crafting play.

Looking for something a little messier? Another easy snow craft involves white tempera paint, silver glitter, blue or black construction paper and a snowflake sponge or stamp. Create a glittery snowflake picture by dipping the snowflake sponge or stamp in tempera paint and stamping it on the paper. Stamp as much or as little as desired, there's no limit. While paint is still wet, sprinkle glitter on the picture. When it dries, the snowflake picture will be ready for display.
The most important part of crafting with kids is that everyone enjoys the process, the results and the companionship. Enjoy the snow, enjoy the crafts and love those kids! Snow Crafts was written by Kim Monaco (with help from her Preschool Teacher mom), a crafty work at home mommy and owner of Learn Crafts Online. Monaco enjoys sitting down and crafting with her children, even messy crafts sometimes!
